Day 1: Arrival in Paro – Drive to Thimphu

Distance: 65 km | Drive Time: 2 hours | Thimphu Altitude: 2,350 m

Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly received and driven to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, located at an altitude of 7,710 feet.On arrival check in at the hotel.

Evening: Explore Thimphu town on foot – perfect for first impressions and local shopping.

Overnight Stay: Thimphu

Day 2: Thimphu – Dochula Pass – Punakha Sightseeing – Back to Thimphu

Distance: 77 km | Drive Time: 3 hours (one way)

After enjoying your breakfast, get ready to explore the top tourist attractions planned for the day.

  • Highlights of Attractions:

    • Dochula Pass: A stunning mountain pass at 3,100 meters with 108 chortens (stupas) and panoramic views of the Eastern Himalayas.

    • Punakha Dzong: Known as the "Palace of Great Happiness", built in 1637 at the confluence of Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers. It’s one of the most beautiful Dzongs in Bhutan.

    • Chimi Lhakhang: Also called the "Temple of Fertility", built by Lama Drukpa Kunley, the Divine Madman.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing – Transfer to Paro
